Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme Session 2015-16 (For Education Department)

The Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme is a grant funded by the Scottish Government, specifically in order to create opportunities for young women in Pakistan to be able to pursue higher education at the post-graduate level. The scheme aims to facilitate and provide assistance to young women from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue a Masters’ degree in Pakistani universities.

The scheme has been initiated in response to the identified need of young women in the country who are deprived of the resources and opportunities to pursue and continue their education, and as a consequence to enable them to contribute positively to their community and society.

Incentive

The Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme will facilitate the award-holders with the following incentives:

Tuition fee for the Masters courses
University hostel costs
Subsistence to the award-holder
Travel to and from home to the university, three times in a year Who can apply the duration of the proposed Masters’ programme.

Eligibility

The Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme is only for female applicants. Candidates should:

Be Pakistani nationals, currently residing in Pakistan
Be no more than 35 years old
Planning to undertake a one or two-year Masters’ programme only
Holding a confirmed offer of admission from a HEC-recognized university in Pakistan
Candidates from rural areas are encouraged to apply for the Pakistan Scottish Scholarship Scheme.
This will not cover M. Phil or PhD courses.

Subject Areas

Candidates should hold an admission offer for two-year Masters’ programme at any HEC-recognized university of Pakistan in only the subject areas listed below. Applications in other subject areas will not be considered.

Salary slip of Parents/Guardian (in case of Govt./Private Sector Employee; Pension slip (in case of retired from Govt.Service)

Award of HEC Need Based Scholarships 2014-15

Consequent upon the recommendations of the Institutional Scholarship Award Committee (ISAC), the Competent Authority has been pleased to award HEC Need Based Scholarships to the students of session 2012, 2013 and 2014.

The HEC Need Based Scholarships awardees are hereby advised to open their account in any one of N.B.P/B.O.P University Branch and provide the following attested documents to the SFAO in the timing of 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. in working days.

Merit Scholarship Scheme Pakistan Engineering Council Academic Session 2015-16

Applications are invited from the Sons/Daughters of engineers enrolled in any accredited engineering programs of an Engineering University/HEIs for undergoing Master and Undergraduate (Federal (Islamabad Capital Territory), province of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA for male/female students) studies in various engineering program(s) disciplines on yearly basis.

Eligibility Criterion

Criterion for award of the scholarship shall be as under:-

Applicant must be a citizen of Pakistan and is Son/Daughter of engineer registered with PEC.
He/She be a registered/professional engineer with PEC (except applicant for BE Scholarship).
He/She shall have enrollment as full-time student in an accredited engineering program of PEC being offered in any recognized PEC University/Institution (HEI).
He/She must have (CGPA above 3.00 out of 4.00 in semester system) or above 65% marks in annual/term examination system in undergraduate engineering program.
In case of Master’s Degree Scholarship, the applicant must produce domicile of the respective province. However, applicant could be student in any public/private sector university/institution in Pakistan.
For undergraduate female scholarship, the applicant must possess domicile of respective province/federal/(Islamabad Capital Territory).
He/she shall not be concurrently availing any other scholarship(NOC from university authorities will be required).

Two Passport Size Photographs (duly attested at the back side).
Attested copy of B.E/B.Sc./M.E/M.Sc. Engg. Enrollment certificate of the university/Institution
Copies of PEC registration Certificate of applicant and parent
NOC from the University authorities for not availing any other scholarship/fellowship (original copy).

Scholarships Disbursement Ceremony for PhD and Bachelor Students Year 2015 on 14th August, 2015

The Prime Minister’s Tuition Fee Reimbursement Scheme or Ph.D Students, PEEF E-Card Bachelor Level and Minority Scholarships Disbursement Ceremony Year 2015 will be held on 14th August, 2015 (Friday) @8:30 am at Iqbal Hall, Vice Chancellor Secretariat, GCU Faisalabad.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor, Government College University Faisalabad will preside the event.

Students are requested to bring their original CNIC and paid fee voucher for collection of their cheque and submit their semester result and fee voucher to in the office of Students’ Financial Aid before 12th August, 2015.
